2013 TGOF (“THE GATHERING of OLD FAITHFULS”)
REUNION
Tentatively slated for JULY 23-29,
2013
TGOF – A reunion of former
savages primarily from the 1969 –1972 era, Old Faithful Lodge, Old Faithful
Cafeteria, Old Faithful Campers Cabins and Old Faithful Inn, but anyone from any
era or location is welcome! This is
our 4th Gathering of Old Faithfuls following our 2004, 2007 and 2010
events.

Reservations for the July, 2013 TGOF can be made starting
May 1st of 2012, via

Specific lodging information, options, and recommendations will be
provided in group email updates this coming winter of 2012.
DATES:
Tuesday, July 23rd through Monday July 29th.
The main event will tentatively be held
Friday July 26th from 9:00
A.M. to NOON, presumably at the OF Snow Lodge Conference Room as we did at
past TGOF’s. We hope all can attend
for group pictures, guest speakers, general communing, and the all-important
silly awards.
GROUP ACTIVITIES:
Valerie and I will be at Old Faithful by Sunday, July 21st to
procure permits and make other arrangements.
Organized group activities will begin Tuesday 7/23 and will continue
through Monday 7/29 for those who wish to make a full week out of the TGOF
reunion. There will be various
group hikes, from easy to strenuous, focusing on seeing Yellowstone from a
perspective that most tourists never see.
Other probable activities will be the popular Snake River Float Trip & a
few hours in Jackson, swimming in the Firehole Canyon or hot-potting in the
“Boiling River”, fly-fishing trips to “secret spots”, Lone Star Geyser, Fairy
Falls, The Grand View, a guided tour of the Yellowstone Historical Center
archives, a boat ride on Yellowstone Lake, a group dinner at the Old Faithful
Lodge Cafeteria, etc, etc.
EVENING GATHERINGS:
As before, there will be gatherings at the OF Picnic Grounds each and
every evening with snacks and beverages provided – weather permitting.

begin in early 2012. In the
